泰特不列顛Tate Britain－歷史
- 1890年米爾班克監獄拆除，1892年原地被選為英國藝術國家美術館，由建築師西德尼·RJ·史密斯(Sidney RJ Smith)設計建造。
- 1897年亨利泰特(Henry Tate)爵士捐贈8萬英鎊建立米爾班克美術館，八間展示區展出英國藝術家的245件作品，作品最早年份為1790年。
- ~1926年約瑟夫·喬爾·杜文爵士和約瑟夫·杜文勳爵父子出資，建築師WH Romaine-Walker又再擴建了美術館七個展示區，作品最早年份為1500年。
- 1932年更名泰特畫廊Tate Gallery。
- 1937年由杜文勳爵贊助，英國第一個專展雕塑的杜文雕塑畫廊開放。
- 1955年獨立於國家美術館，由Richard Llewelyn-Davies設計再擴增的東北角展區於1979年開放。
- 1979年畫廊獲得詹姆斯斯特林爵士和克洛爾基金會贊助，接管改建附近的廢棄軍醫院，並於1987年開放，1988年獲得英國皇家建築師學會獎。
- 2000年更名泰特不列顛Tate Britain。

進入館內後，先是被圓形環繞挑高的穹頂震撼，參觀民眾都先停下腳步欣賞與拍照。
通往B1的螺旋樓梯，B1設有DJANOGLY CAFÉ咖啡廳與洗手間。

連接各房間的通道中展示著各種雕塑藝術品，米黃牆面和羅馬柱與白色現代的磁磚地很有衝突感。
